How To Build Confidence In Easy Steps

A large majority of us have a lot of goals and aspirations we conceive for our lives , but if we do not have self-confidence, we are unlikely to make them a reality .  Building up confidence in yourself will give you the inspiration you require to realise  everything you need out of your life

Here are three exercises you can try each day that will teach you how to build confidence.

Write a journal.Your new journal should contain positive things you did for that day. The vast majority of people complete a lot of little things in the span of 24 hours , but don’t recognise them as achievements.

By putting them into your journal every day, you can watch them increase over the weeks, months, and years.   You do not need to write in depth, start with small things – like a few ways you performed an act of kindness for  a passing stranger or a couple of  things you did that will enhance your career  

It can be as negligible as holding the door open for a little old lady or reading a book about saving for retirement.   when you look back on your entries of positive accomplishments , it will fill you with the need to achieve even more.

List your goals in baby steps.   When setting a goal do not try to accomplish it all in one go , try dividing it into small chunks that need to be achieve every single day . You will find that every time you are able to cross off the small steps, your lack of self confidence shrinks and permit yourself to reach the next step until you’ve reached the primary goal.

If your goal is to save money for a new computer , plan baby steps like placing $5 to $10 in a box everyday. It’s great to know you’ve completed seven things for yourself one week instead of waiting until you suddenly have $1,000 falling into your lap for your upcoming treat.

Plus , if you do notreach your major goals, you can lose the self confidence you have built up , so tiny goals and baby steps will lead you to increase your self esteem.

Look at inspirational quotes.  There is an abundance of websites with lots of inspirational sayings relating to confidence or self-esteem. Try to read one of the quotes daily and apply it to your life during the day .

You can add it to your journal entry. If today’s inspirational quote talks about greeting everyone you meet that day (instead of avoiding eye contact), and then try it. At the end of the day, you can journal it as one more positive thing you accomplished.
